To wear a bikini?

I'm a 55 and overweight, size 22. I'm on holiday and it's boiling. I brought a bikini with me (full briefs and we'll fitting top with a bit of a frill to add extra cover) but only I tended to wear it in our private garden and change to go out to the communal pool. Yesterday it was so hot that I thought bugger it, I'm going in as I am!
Nobody ran from the pool and my family haven't disowned me. I don't think I would wear it at the beach at home with friends but I'm not going to see any of these people again!

Just come back from hols and honestly, just enjoy! Nobody cares and we all look better with a bit of a tan.

I'm a similar size to you and only ever wear bikinis on holiday. I hate 1 piece costumes as they're a nightmare when wet to pull back up after a wee. I also wear high waisted bottoms and a good top with plenty of support. No ones remotely interested honestly. There are far prettier things to look at than a middle aged woman looking a bit fat!

Wear the bikini! Who cares what anyone thinks? If they think anything at all you don't know them anyway. It's your holiday, be free to do what you want !

It's from Yours but I bought it new on vinted it's not this year's range.

I feel quite liberated wearing it!

YA definitely NBU. I'm in my 40s, 36F cup and when i'm overseas I don't even wear the top half.

Well done you. I struggle with pools as I have a slight disability and a misshapen leg. I used to care that people were looking at me and try to hide myself. as I’ve got older I care less and less. I still feel self conscious sometimes but find very few people notice or judge and anyone who does really doesn’t matter.
