Lads holiday

Doormirror · 19/07/2023 14:52

3 mid thirties men have gone on a lads' short break to a very hot country.

What does one of those holidays involve? Drinking in the evening for sure, but do they spend all morning sleeping? And what do they do in the afternoon? Do they rest before going out in the evening?

I ask because I fancy one of them and want to text him, but want to do it at the right time of the day, I.e. not drunk, asleep or hung over, or doing some other activity.

Obvs everyone is different, but typical experiences would be helpful.

I'd aim for lunch time. It's a text message though, he can answer any time he's ready!

Azeroin · 19/07/2023 14:57

If you’re concerned and it’s a short break, why not just text when he gets back?

WitsHaveEnded · 19/07/2023 14:59

Erm.. message when he is home. Leave him to his break with his mates. Doing the "pick me not the girl in her bikini" dance from another country isn't a good look.

Message him when he's back.

Maddy70 · 19/07/2023 15:00

That would put me off straight away anyone texting me knowing I was on holiday.

Perfectly put!

😂 Yes, this.

Totally depends what sort of 'lads' they are. Some people might literally spend all day sleeping and then only surface at night to go clubbing. Some might spend the day on the beach or by a pool during the day and then go out in the evening. My colleague is late 20s and has just been on a holiday with a couple of mates and they did things like hiring jet-skis and playing tennis all day and then went for food and a few drinks in the evening.

I would have thought that lunchtime to mid-afternoon would be your best texting window. If they are sleeping off a hangover in their hotel room, they'll just pick up the message when they wake up; don't overthink it too much.

ManateeFair · 19/07/2023 15:03

But yes, unless you already know him well enough to be exchanging texts pretty regularly, just text him after he's back from his holiday.

vodkaredbullgirl · 19/07/2023 15:11

Jesus wept, wait till he gets back.

Doormirror · 19/07/2023 16:46

He said for me to let him know how I got on with something.

I am not in competition with a bikini girl.

Thanks for the helpful answers.

Unless the OP was sending a beg text I don't think anyone would really be annoyed at receiving a text 🙄 if he fancies the OP back I'm sure he'd be more than happy to receive the text

I agree with the mid day suggestion or late afternoon

LolaSmiles · 19/07/2023 16:59

If you're already texting regularly and he's asked for an update, I'd text him mid afternoon and keep it brief.

Cinnamope · 19/07/2023 17:22

You are wayyyy overthinking this

Karrpt · 19/07/2023 19:49

Honestly. Wait
