It's people from different branches of the company who are meeting up for refresher training over 4 days. There are only 4 of us, this is day 1.
There is a lady who's come here from abroad, she seemed nice, however I think we have different boundaries and I find her a bit irritating.
Usually you can go to the loo when you want, we're all adults, but these training sessions tend to have organised times for breaks and lunch so that things run smoothly, however this woman decided to take a break when she wanted, just went to McDonald's and then expected us to wait while she poured her coffee. Luckily the trainer just ignored her and carried on.
The trainer said, let's break at 11:45. She said, 'Can we break at 12:45 instead?' (the woman). 'I've eaten so I'm fine '
I tried to interject saying 'that's quite a bit later'.
Luckily the trainer agreed in a different time.
Also find it rude how adults think it's ok to sit and eat McDonald's/Greggs whatever throughout these training things (barring medical conditions of course) like they can't wait to be told.
Our break started and I took my chair away slightly to give us all a bit of room and space to eat. She pulled hers right next to me, not giving me any personal space, and said, hope you don't mind me joining .
I said it's ok, but moved my chair away a little.
I'm aware I'm sounding nasty, she's likely trying to make friends, however it's irritating how she's trying to dictate the training. She wanted us to share food too which I know is just being polite, wasn't comfortable doing that with a stranger though (× know that's more a me problem)
Anyway just a bit of a rant as I've got a few more days.
