To change jobs..

My current job - standard zero hour contract job. Work every weekend either Saturday or Sunday, and a week day. Flexible in terms of if I need a day off cos of the kids, to leave early etc. I don't need to pay childcare. I love my colleagues but it's starting to get very busy and stressful. I come home physically exhausted.

Job offer - the job I did prior to having children. It's Tuesday and Wednesdays. The money per hour is slightly better but as I won't get holiday pay top up (instead I get paid holidays) I'll come home with slightly less. Will need to pay childcare for 1 day. Means I get Thursday through to Tuesday free with the kids and can go back to what I trained in. Probably less flexible, slightly more travel.

Help!

If you can afford it, my thinking is to do it. Is it more stable, with career progression? Would you be able to increase your hours in future? I've done weekend roles to avoid childcare expense, and it takes its toll on family life. I prefer M-F hours.

It has some progression if you wanted to, by doing extra courses. I'm pretty sure there would be more hours if I wanted them in the future.
It is more stable as it's a proper contract which I don't have currently.
It's just doing every weekend that is getting me down x
