Worried about my brain?

Does anyone get this? I’ve noticed recently my brain can’t cope with being put on the spot and my memory seems to just disappear- for example I was asked today on the phone to confirm my name , DOB, address etc and got it all without thinking. When I went to say my postcode I remembered the first 3 numbers but couldn’t remember the last section, at all, it was as if it had been completely removed from my brain. I made an educate guess and was nowhere near it. It randomly popped into my head again later. I’ve noticed this happening more and more recently and it’s as if certain things have just been wiped from my brain even when I don’t feel tired or stressed. I’ve also noticed mistakes where I get my words mixed up- for example in the car I was going to say ‘can I put on the air conditioning’ and I said ‘can I air on the put conditioning’ and I tried to write a thank you letter for a birthday present where I wrote ‘thank you kind much for the very present’ instead of thank you very much for the kind present

i recently had an MRI to monitor a pre existing brain condition (Chiari 1) so I know from that that everything is fine in my head, just not sure what is going on. I’m only 30 if that makes a difference.

Sounds a bit like what happens to my wife. The doctors say she has FND (functional neurological disorder). I don’t think it shows up on a scan, they diagnose it on symptoms. Look it up and see if the symptoms are what happens to you?

In my late 20’s I forgot where I lived. Turned out to be hypothyroidism. I was actually walking around not knowing how to get home.
in my 30’s it was low ferritin.
In my early 40’s I started panicking that I had early Alzheimer’s, turned out to be vitamin D deficiency.
In my late 40’s I had that panic again and it turned out to be B12 deficiency.

There are lots of, easily treatable, things that can affect memory so try not to worry too much but do speak to the GP & maybe request blood tests.
