They did announce a further £10m to increase access to screening back in January. Drop in the ocean considering the wholesale investments needed in training (education so that children are able to become HCPs as well) and IT provision, but tbh, the petition doesn't really say anything other than 'something must be done'.

Thanks for sharing this, @Dovetail40—completely agree that urgent action is needed. While ensuring access to breast screening is vital, it’s equally important to push for reducing the screening age from 50 to 40.

Early detection saves lives, and many younger people are diagnosed after symptoms appear, often at later stages when treatment is more aggressive and outcomes are worse. Lowering the screening age could prevent thousands of unnecessary deaths and allow for less invasive treatment.
