Teacher gifts, help!

What do teachers really want/need, that also doesn’t cost a fortune?

I’ve got three DC, one has lots of teachers and TA’s (pre-school), one has two teachers and three TA’s and the other has one teacher and a TA.

All suggestions greatly received!!

I always go with consumables. They will get used and not clutter up their home or classroom! They don’t need more mugs etc. every year.

So a tin of nice biscuits, or chocolates, wine or gin.

For the school age ones, don't you do class collections? We normally get some flowers or chocolates and the teacher gets a £150 voucher and the TAs £50 vouchers.

As a teacher myself, I’m sentimental so I always treasure a handmade card or present

but lots of my colleagues would say wine 😁

We don’t do class collections but I think that’s a nice idea rather than then receiving 30 mugs!

House plants are quite ‘in’ If staff don't want them at home, they make a lovely addition to the classroom or staff room.

Teacher here! Always appreciate a personal thank you note or message. Nothing else needed.

My kids used to put a Freddo inside a card, just to say thank you to their teacher. Always raised a smile.

If you’re not sure about chocolate or wine then my random suggestion is some sort of funky lens cleaning cloth. Everyone wears sunglasses and these are always super useful.

I get them some nice biscuits or chocolates for the staff room for the last week of term. Can be shared with all.
I don't think any big special gifts are needed unless they are leaving the school.
