Asking for info

So my hub is applying to a new company. He's worked for the same one for 15 years.

I know someone who I've not spoken in 5/6years who works for them at this sand level. Aibu to message and ask for tips for applying? I don't want to appear stalkerish but wouldn't mind a bit of insight!

I did put this on work but no replies.

I’ve been a recruiter - there should never be any harm in asking for tips or gaining insight into the role. I’d always view it as someone being very interested in the company/motivated. They might not respond but no harm in asking if your relationship was previously good with this person.
