There is always a massive clamour to break news though isn't there.. makes me think of people crashing through the doors at Boxing Day sales, practically trampling people to get to the goodies first.

I mean, it's been half an hour since the announcement and there's already god knows how many. I think people just like the idea of being the one to break the news, or being the OP of a big thread, or just are so excited that they can't stop and take two fucking seconds to check if there aren't already multiple threads. It's sad.

Perhaps ask MNHQ if they can create a 'Huw Edwards' topic?

I don't watch the evening news, usually listen on radio in the morning. I do watch royal events, but he doesn't look familiar.

I stupidly clicked into one and they're full of widely inaccurate statements and putting 2 and 2 together and getting a million. Why let any facts get in the way, they're worse than reading the comments section of the Hate Mail!

It was the worst kept secret ever. I think the excessive number of threads reflects the fact that people are now free to talk about it freely instead of in veiled speech.
