Why do they think it's up to everyone else to give way whilst they walk down the street with their nose stuck to the screen?

Just walk into them. They're so unaware of their surroundings the fact someone else might be there wont even have crossed their minds.

SoSoSoSo · 11/07/2023 16:44

Pheasants?

SoSoSoSo · 11/07/2023 16:45

Is phone pheasants a common saying? I'm genuinely curious.

I assumed OP meant peasants but I suppose pheasants just wander around without a care in the world

vodkaredbullgirl · 11/07/2023 16:49

😂pheasants

JennyTheDonkey · 11/07/2023 16:53

I like that term. I walk into them on purpose

Adelstrop · 11/07/2023 17:11

I once saw someone stuck to their phone actually walk into a lampost.

I meant pheasants, they walk around like them as you say!

How do Pheasants walk specifically?
And how does it change when they are holding a phone?

pineapple360 · 11/07/2023 17:22

Just came here to say I love your term phone pheasants and will be using this in future! Thanks OP!

LimitIsUp · 11/07/2023 17:33

Pheasant seems to be a fair description given this:

(With apologies for it being a Daily Mail link)

RachelTopliss · 12/07/2023 12:53

One just walked right into me now. Into my outstretched palm that was. She didn't even look up!

Bonjovispjs · 12/07/2023 12:58

I never move out of their way, then tell them to look like where they're going when they walk into me.

vodkaredbullgirl · 11/07/2023 16:49

😂pheasants

They must be the ones with the new Samsung Galaxy flap phone.

Sigmama · 12/07/2023 13:11

The ones wearing headphones looking down at their screens whilst stepping into the road infront of me, without looking are literally deaf dumb and blind

Random789 · 12/07/2023 13:26

Pheasants is apt, given that they have been selectively bred to make themselves easy to shoot by just standing around moronically up to the last second, instead of taking themselves out of the way.

Which of course suggests a brand new gun sport that would leave actual pheasants in peace and reduce the number of.... No. No, that would be unethical. Only social media firms are allowed to exploit phone users so profoundly.

I do the same.

I once walked into a concrete lamp post while messaging on my phone. Adelstrop, could have been me 😂😂

I'm not usually one to walk around with my face in my phone but came out of work to loads of messages from people needing to arrange stuff with me and thought I would save time sorting it on my walk home.

It hurt 😂
