To think this is a bit strange/rude

I've been off sick from work for a week and a half with a back injury. I work as a carer. We report sickness with an automated line and then your manager calls you back. My manager has not called me at all. Last Tuesday I sent her an email about my sickness and what was happening because the automated line is very limited and I wanted to keep her in the loop. She hasn't replied. I assume she's busy but can see she's actively commenting on people's posts on Facebook so now I'm thinking is she just really annoyed with me.

Strange not to respond thanks for the update I've passed it to HR - type of thing.
Then again my boss was off for 8 days and didn't tell their team so we all sat wondering. When they came to work no one asked how they were. You could hear they were still croaky and sick looking. But fuck them.

I just think it's weird and rude to have just ignored me basically. And it's making me feel really anxious.

Send her another email requesting a reply and copy her manager in?

I agree with Rasperri.

You're bound to feel anxious and wonder what your boss it thinking. I think it's a bit insensitive and unprofessional of her not to even acknowledge it to be honest. But yes, screw her and try not to let it bother you if you can!

Since I left a sickness message on the automated line on (insert date and time) and didn't hear back from you, I emailed you on (insert date) and still haven't had a reply.

Please can you reply to this email ASAP, so we can discuss what's happening with my sickness.
