I believe the local conservative party has offered to step in, and replace the murals with inspirational scenes depicting Tory successes of the past century. So well done them. If I did twitter, I'd post the link. Maybe someone else could ?

I’d like to know the precise reason why these images have been painted over. I cannot believe it has been done to ‘make the space less welcoming’ as is being alleged. What is far more likely is that someone has ordered for them to be removed because they are legally protected Disney images.
I can imagine that before long there will be other murals painted in their place that are not subject to the same protections.
Disney is a massive corporation that makes its money on the back of children. Personally, I run as far from anything Disney as possible!
