Keep it or tombola it?

Need to donate items for the school summer fair in the morning, so frantically looking for things!

Will this be a wine I open and it’s awful? So tombola-worthy? YANBU

Or drinkable? YABU

It was a gift BTW!

Keep it or tombola it?

I'd tombola it if you've had it gifted and never opened it

I know you can't judge a book by its cover, or the wine by its label, but that label is not doing anything for me. I think I would tombola it too.

@Createausername1970

Just noticed in a tiny corner of the label ot is from Aldi. But, that doesn’t equal bad wine!

Just don’t want to keep it, open it, hate it and chuck it when I can add it the donation pile to make up for not buying raffle tickets/helping set up/tidy up/run a stall etc

Stick some lemonade with it and drink it

elaeocarpus · 06/07/2023 21:58

It's their specially selected range and has DOCG so theoretically it should be a decent wine

ApolloandDaphne · 06/07/2023 22:03

One of the best things about PTA/summer fairs are the random bottles of wine which constantly do the rounds. I re-donated many bottles over the years. Put yours in and see how long it does the rounds.

Got a few good reviews and write ups if you google it

Keep it or tombola it?

Ooh! Didn’t occur to me there would be a review of it, so thanks! Sounds like it might be a keeper.

@ApolloandDaphne

I won a bottle of Lambrini one fair. Redonated it. Won it again the next time!
