Police response times

If you have had to call the police recently as in the last 12 months, what type of crime was reported, what was the response time and rough location?

After reading about an under two minute response over £10 I’m now curious.

I’ll go first, 999 call for a break in in progress at 1am, response time was 3-4 minutes and burglar was arrested in my back garden. I am located in the West Midlands, I was very impressed at their response, it was 1am on a Wednesday morning.

I called the police when a drunk man was arguing with his girlfriend in public, she was crying to be let go and he was gripping hold of her wrists and trying to drag her down the street while shouting in her face.

Police arrived within 20 minutes. This was about 6 months ago.

Response times will vary hugely depending on what resources are available. There are loads of factors which affect it, but its amazing how quick entire response shifts can be depleted in a short space of time.
