Hotel organised our taxi to the airport. Taxi did not turn up. They couldn’t get anyone to pick us up as it was late. So we missed our flight.

We have had to pay for another flight tomorrow. Hotel we are staying at is empty. They said we could have our room back. But now they are asking for us to pay the £100 for the room for the extra night.

AIBU to refuse to pay? It was their fault we missed the flight. They insisted we used their taxi driver, and they insisted we didn’t need to worry.

Just claim on your travel insurance.

(Presumably you have proof that the taxi booking was made and failed to turn up and proof that you couldn't find any other way of getting to the airport).

Yes, you should pay. You stayed another night; it doesn’t matter whose fault it is.
