AIBU to think Dan and Blair was the most utterly ludicrous pairing of the season?

Side note: the real love story should’ve been Rufus and Lily and it annoys me all the time it wasn’t.

I’m procrastinating.

Love Blair and Chuck, hate the Georgina storyline, Chuck's uncle and Serena's "cousin" getting with Rufus 😷 also Vanessa had potential but ended up such a crap character.

I wish I could pull off an embellished Alice Band like Blair.

When it came down to it i thought they had quite a bit of chemistry actually... in theory idve been against it but when it happened I thought it was quite fun.
my biggest grievance is how rushed Serena and Dan getting back together at the end was... oh suddenly you're sulfates again riiiight

Serena was so annoying and whiny, gorgeous but irritating. Loved Blair, loved her with Chuck even though he was vile.

I read a theory that Joe from You is actually Dan from Gossip Girl. He imagined marrying Serena after being shunned by the group and losing his mind, and reinvented himself as Joe Goldberg.

I'm rewatching. It is so stupid. I love the way that Serena and Dan talk about "this world" she lives in. Also why all the high schoolers hanging out at glitzy bars drinking cocktails.

The nate story moved from dumb to preposterous.

What about the "lord" and his step mum. That's a real doozy.

And the way Dan and Vanessa are so "authentic", "real", "artsy" bollocks.

I loved Nate... but his story line just became too bonkers

As a pp said I liked him with Jenny best

They did an absolute doozey on Vanessa she could have been a great character

I wish they had given Chuck a monkey like in the books

Blair was great and I miss the scheming with Chuck

I think it was best when Serena and Blair got on it just got muddy when they didn't

I tried the new one and couldn’t get through the first episode.

I love the original - It was so ridiculous and bonkers and funny.

The ‘Lord’ was an utterly ludicrous plot.

As well as Blair reviving Waldorf fashions with fancy school uniform was truly bananas.

Oh I love it so much, I've lost count of how many times I've rewatched the whole thing! I started it a couple of weeks ago when it returned to Netflix so once again I'm in the Upper East side bubble!

I went to NY a few years ago and made my OH go to the Met just so I could sit on the steps 😅.

Agree with the everyone re Derota, I love how the relationship between her and Blair developed.

Love Blair, my favourite character and of course her and Chuck ❤️ hated prince Louis.

I really dislike Serena and her little forced tinkly, look at me lack drives me up the wall!

Blair is my favourite as well! Currently on the episode with her pregnancy scare - is it Chuck/Nate? Love watching B and C's story unfold. They are my faves

Onto season 4 now and I agree with whoever said they did Vanessa dirty! I feel so sorry for her.

Really enjoying the B&C Will they won't they as I know they will!

Ah found my people! Currently re-watching - been binge watching it for weeks and already on season 5...! The music is my favourite part, second to the bonkers storylines.

The pilot episode is so clearly different to the rest of the series entirely, it cracked me up. Nate and Chuck get the bus to school and never get it ever again 🤣

Love Gossip Girl even though I have to focus on the fact that they look older rather than suspend my disbelief that in season one 16 year olds are all shagging and drinking in exclusive wine bars.

My favourites are Chuck and Blair - but I do love Liz Hurley in a can’t believe how bad she is sort of way.

Yes - they make such a big deal about never taking public transport too! 😂 and isn't Blair's mum totally different?
