Name change

First time posting here so sorry if it’s not in the right place! I’m getting married at the end of 2025 but I want to change my first name and middle name and then eventually take my partners name when we do get married. I can’t find a lot of information on the subject but I don’t want to have to change my details twice with my bank etc but I’d like to have my full “new” name when I get married. Has anyone done this before? Not sure what to do for the best or how to do it!

You can either change your full name via deed poll prior to the wedding and then socially use your old surname until the wedding.

Or change your first and middle names by deed poll and then change your surname using your marriage certificate.

with the first option you’d only need to change the documents etc once.

Change via deedpoll. But your marriage certificate will have your maiden name and married name as the exact same.
