Dilemma with changing jobs

Help me with a dilemma please….

i work in a professional role with a qualification. When I started out I did temporary contracts (12 months), I was free flowing with a what will be, will be attitude.

fast forward 10 years, I have 3 DC and am about to start divorce proceedings. I’ve been in a permanent role for 8 years, 40% of my job I enjoy, 60% I hate which overall makes me not enjoy work. But the pay is good and it fits in very well with childcare. H does not help at all with that (and that isn’t going to change).

I’ve seen the same job I do now for a different company, initially 8 month contract likely to be extended to 18 months but after that who knows. but I’m still tempted to go for it.

YABU - don’t rush a temporary job & financial stability that fits in with childcare

YANBU - take the plunge, life is short and things will work out

What's the advantage of moving if it's the same job and you will lose your financial stability?

Oh I forgot that vital part, the bit I don’t like now is mainly due to the people. Particularly new inexperienced and incompetent management who are causing no end of problems
