Eyebrow wax disaster

I had my eyebrows waxed a week ago in the beauty studio in Superdrug. I’ve had my eyebrows waxed for years and never had any issues. The lady waxed one eyebrow, handed me the mirror and I was mortified to see that a huge chunk was missing from the middle of my eyebrow. She then went on to say how she has a “bald spot” on her eyebrow and she has to fill it in. Basically making out that it was like that when I walked in🙈 She did the other eyebrow (not sure why I let her near the other one!) and I told her I’m very unhappy and ended up with a refund. She offered to fill them in, she put loads of eyebrow dye which didn’t touch the bald bit!

I was so embarrassed and had to go elsewhere for an eyebrow kit to fix the mess.

I have now complained to Superdrug online, they messaged me today offering me 500 Superdrug points which I’ve looked up is equivalent to a fiver.

AIBU that this isn’t enough considering she took nearly half my eyebrow off 😱

Crikey that's quite the fuck up. You have to say what you want. If it's not 500 points say you want x, y and z.
Fifty quid? Whatever it is.

When you make a complaint it’s best to say what remedy you want. They’ve gone in low with their offer. Now reply saying what you feel you should receive to either repair the damage ( is that even possible?) and acknowledge your distress.

That sucks. Many years ago, someone tried to make my eyebrows match. Mine are cousins not sisters. Terrible. Cried. Took a year to grow back. Worst part is, I paid!

I would push for a refund or the equivalent in points. You can always go via social media, I find this gets the best traction for (justified) complaints.

What are you looking for them to give you? That will help form the reply.

Ok leaving a bald patch is a big fuck up, that said, it won't take long to fill in, but I'd want a refund.

That's the amount you need to ask for. You shouldn't be out of pocket because of their mistake.

It will come off... eventually. I did my own tint over the weekend, and I got a bit distracted and left it on a bit too long. The eyebrows are going to be cleanest they have ever been as I keep giving them a wipe over with micellar water each time I go into the bathroom.

I think almost everyone has had some sort of eyebrow mishap somewhere along the line. Mine was a trainee at the threading bar. Why, oh why I let her do it I do not know, probably the queue was long. But she took away a good 1/5 of my one eyebrow on the edge. But what can you do about it after? If its gone, its gone. They did give me some quick grow brow stuff though, I can't say it worked awfully well.

But my friend, we went out one night and she arrived, rather sheepishly. And she just looked, different. She had gone to a new waxing bar and they had left behind the thinnest amount of brow you could imagine, think 1980's style. And they were shaped so odd, like a half moon. So she tried to fill them in with black eyeliner (she has black hair) and, it just did not work. But after a few drinks she also laughed about it.

I have noticed sometimes (especially if they are new and not very experienced), they will map again after the thread, for the tint. And it looks like this is what may have happened here.

You’ve already had a refund so you need to go about finding out how much you need to spend to make it look as okay as possible until it grows back. How much did you spend on a brow kit? Will you be buying a serum for faster growth? Research that and work out how many points would cover it plus a token of apology for the fact that it happened in the first place, it’s pretty poor.

I have a early 20's ds at home. He doesn't notice much, like if I had my hair cut etc.

Yesterday he walked into the room and just said "had your eyebrows done?"

So you have to know how noticeable they were 😂
