Is this normal with OLD?

So I'm new to this 🙈 I know nothing is normal 😅 but just after opinions.

Matched with someone about 3 weeks ago. We've never messaged constantly, on and off really, which is fine. Seem to have good chat though. He sounds like a nice person. I've obviously Facebook stalked (in a light hearted way!!!) so I know he's real 🙈
He's asked to meet up which I'm happy to do and we arranged next week.
The conversation has since died, probably shared 2 or 3 messages last week.
Is this purely because we've run out of chat without letting or is this some sort of red flag?
Still yet to confirm the actual details of our date yet, obviously I won't be going to his house as I'm not a ONS person!

In my experience it's normal. Many people chat to simply get to the point where they are ready to set up a meeting eg you like each other enough and have enough in common to want to meet up.

The only advice I'd give is to meet up quicker in future if it's possible. I wouldn't chat for too long without arranging a date.

As a seasoned dater, I agree with the previous poster. Two weeks chatting before meeting max.
I'd also be tempted to ask him if you're still meeting. Older I get, the less patience I have for time-wasting and playing games.
Hope it pans out ok!

Thank you both! What you're saying totally makes sense. I think I may have played it a bit too cool this time, but I was just nervous!
He hasn't messaged me about meeting up tomorrow so I guess I've been blown off which is fine, lesson learnt! 🙈
