Do you feel guilty for relaxing / resting?

If you have a weekend where you do pretty much nothing and just chill at home do you feel guilty?! I don’t really do this because I feel I should be out and about making most of the weekends but I think I need to start doing more of it but I feel too guilty?!

God no
I love a weekend of doing absolutely nothing

Not if I’ve got the children with me. I think down time is important.

But if I get a rare moment where I have an hour to myself, I dream about sitting reading but can’t actually keep my bum on the chair!

Absolutely not! We try and schedule a weekend once a month where we all have zero plans and we get nice food In and stay in pjs. It’s heaven!

Think it’s also really important for the kids to see that it’s okay to rest and to prioritise that over burning out.

WandaWonder · 01/07/2023 11:47

No, I practise it as often as i can to ensure I am as good as possible at it, not to humble brag but I feel I am getting there

Hbh17 · 01/07/2023 11:48

No, why should I? We all need relaxation time - it's an essential.

whataboutme77 · 01/07/2023 11:48

Yes I do, whenever I have a day to myself I either end up finding jobs to do that feel "essential" but really aren't or I have a constant guilty/self justification monologue in my head that really limits my enjoyment...so frustrating!!

Do stuff on Saturdays and lazy Sundays 😊
