Handbags

3 or 4 years ago used to work on a busy main street. On my lunch break, more for something to do than anything else, I used to go into one of the animal charity shops, so I got to know one or two of the volunteers. one of the ladies brought in a load of handbags. She said that t one time she used to buy 'designer' handbags, but since she had been working in the shop she couldn't justify just having them in the wardrobe whilst there were 'poor little pussy cats' suffering, so decided to donate them.

Over the course of a few weeks she brought in loads, and me being a sucker bought 6 or 7 of them - Zandra Rhodes, Coach, Radley - you get the idea.

My question is - how do I tell if they are real or dupes? I am in no way a follower of fashion, more of an M&S or F&F type of girl, so would love some advice.

Should say - I am not over concerned if they aren't designer - I love the bags, and only paid a fiver each for them

I have a few Coach bags, they all have a little leather patch inside that has the bags serial number on it. If you take it to a Coach store, they will be able to tell you straight away if it’s genuine. Coach also offer complimentary cleaning for life on their products.

Thanks, Bananasliff - that is very helpful.
