If taking 26 weeks or less, you are guaranteed to return to the same role but if you have more than 26 weeks off (which I definitely will plan to, have about 10 months off in total hopefully) then you are not automatically entitled to the same position, just one on no less favourable terms, pay
I love my role and enjoy working with my small team, very happy with everything. We cover quite a wide geographical area and hence there are 4 other small teams which I could potentially be moved to I guess if my job is no longer available. All teams do similar work and I am qualified to be in any technically, however I have upskilled and done CPD which means I am best suited to the one I am in
I’m worried about the possibility of having to move to another team when returning to work, as everything about the one I’m in suits me down to the ground. Has it happened to you or those you work with as a common occurrence or in practice is it unlikely?
