Has anyone had this experience with screen loving toddler ?

I put my hands up and admit, I've allowed my DD too much screen time over her life.

She definitely watched screens a bit before she was 2. Whilst I was pregnant with my second and had HG and I was pretty much alone, she definitely watched her iPad too much.

Anyhow. I've noticed, she's now almost 3 and a half, that's she has naturally gravitated away from the screen. To my big surprise ! If there was a screen in sight, she'd usually be glued to it. She'd also ask for her iPad and would only get off it, if I took it away from her. Now after 5-10 minutes she just walks off and plays with her toys.

Don't get me wrong, she still watches stuff. But the intensity and interest has really calmed down now.

Has anyone else experienced something similar ? I want it to continue so I've actually taken her iPad away. She just watches the odd show on TV now.

Has anyone else had a similar experience ? My one year old doesn't care for screen time at all and I'm really glad and not going to introduce him to iPad and the like until he's older.

I'd say that's a positive if your wee one doesn't rely on the screen time, or seek it out. More means of play away from screens is and always will be better for them
