Are house prices falling?

13 listings put on rightmove today (within a 5 mile area of my home).
10 are older listings that have been reduced in price today
6 of those reduced are brand new homes

Are prices coming down? Or just random?

Similar in my area

Not round here !

A little, but popular properties still sell fairly fast from what I can see. This is based on my observation as someone who spends way too much time on rightmove but with no expertise in this whatsoever

Stuff is getting reduced around here and there’s not very much going onto the market at all

cherryassam · 27/06/2023 22:30

Most properties seem to be getting reduced here but there seems to also be a trend for things to be initially listed at prices way over what would have been achieved even in the height of summer 2021.

Properties in my village definitely seem to be hanging around a lot longer. Lots of reduced prices. They still seem to be marketed at the peak prices but not selling at them. I live in a very popular area where properties sell and rent easily.

Not where I am. House on my street just sold 3 days after coming to market so guess they got near to asking. It was one of highest for sale prices for this street.
