To just escape for a day?

I love my family to bits, but everything in our house is down to me, running of the house, bills, shopping, childcare, dogs, plus my business (from home but 7 days a week) 1 DS aged 10. DH just tells me if he has plans and goes off. I don’t go anywhere or do anything. Does anyone just wish they could book into a hotel for a day or night, lie in the bath all day reading a book etc not have to do anything for anyone else.. face mask, paint nails etc, watch what I’d like on the tele, chill out on the settee with a glass of wine, just for just one full day or night. It’s my birthday soon and I’d really love a day to myself! AIBU?

Do it, book it a overnight stay in a spa and relax in the spa all day.

Absolutely, do it. I would have done this month but it clashes with an appointment.

Yes and why not. For my birthday I’m Driving off to camp in wales on my own, climb snowdon etc. don’t ask permission just tell him that’s what you’re doing and go.

100% do it. Especially reasonable for a birthday treat but also very reasonable when you just need some time out. Book it now and enjoy!

I've always done it. Plus I go away with the girls for a long weekend to a European city. I don't really get why other women don't.

I do this about twice a year.

I do it! I book a secret day off work, send everyone off as usual and do my own thing. I potter, lunch, a treatment- anything I want just in peace and to please myself. It is absolutely blissful!
