Dog Surgery

Sorry I'm posting here for traffic. My dog has had routine surgery and I've noticed the incision has hair caught in it. Dog is moulting like crazy! Is this normal? I'm reluctant to contacting my vet in case they say bring her in and add another massive fee onto the already massive vet bill. The incision looks good, no blood, no pus, not swollen, it looks as i would expect with the exception of the trapped hair. It's lose hair that seems to have got caught in the healing process. I'm seeing the vet again to sign my dog off but not for a few days. I know I can't bathe it because of the dissolvable stitches. Google is not providing me with any advice so I thought I'd ask the mumsnet crowd for advice or experience or if maybe there is a vet reading this that could offer useful insight 🤞

When you say caught in it, do you mean half in the incision, or just stuck to it?
How much hair? If it’s the odd one or two can you tweezer them out?
You can, with some gauze/a cloth, wipe it with water. Then pat it dry rather than rub, it’s what we do to human patients, you aren’t making it sopping wet so it will be fine.
