Please share the brand/style AND ALSO describe what shape feet you have.

My mum swears by Hotter but she has small chunky feet, whereas mine are long and almost completely flat, so I suspect any style that works for her would give me blisters.

Those are Ecco Sartorelle or something. I got my first pair from Amazon oddly, as they were cheaper than the Ecco website, and I've just replaced them with the latest version (identical except for no zip) in the sale on Zalando for the coming winter.

That's fantastic, thanks so much, I'd forgotten about Ecco!

TeeBee · 25/06/2023 20:21

All Birds Tree Breezers. The most comfortable shoes I've ever had. They last ages and you can pop them in the washing machine and they come up like new. I have two pairs in different colours.

Loafbeginsat60 · 25/06/2023 22:52

I do have a couple of horses but I’m not really horsey. I live on a farm tho….

JaceLancs · 25/06/2023 23:03

I have small narrow feet
I like Italian and Brazilian brands like Carrano
Dune are great for me and designers like Stuart Weismann, manolo blahnik or Valentino
I wish my body matched my feet!!!

fetchacloth · 25/06/2023 23:18

Hotter and Skechers for me.
Fairly wide feet but chunky ankles.
The ankles are a pain because most footwear companies don't cater well for those.🙄

Moonshine5 · 25/06/2023 23:20

Totally random but Timberland trainers.

KajsaKavat · 25/06/2023 23:20

barefoot shoes

Sketchers are the most comfortable things I've ever put on my feet

I'm going to be flamed by MN 🙈
Totally agree about Skechers.
I wonder how I ever managed before discovering these myself 😁

Pigriver · 25/06/2023 23:24

Size 6 long and thin with a slight bunion 🙈
Heavenly feet for both sandals and boots. I can't wear a flat sandal and these are nice and cushioned.
A specific type of TOMS (with a sole not the thin foam)
Converse hi tops (warm insulated ones)

I struggle with smart shoes but rarely need to wear. Nice boots in the winter and a sparkly sandal in the summer

MrsClatterbuck · 25/06/2023 23:43

I have wide feet and one foot which is flat and quite pronounced pronation. I found a brand called Alegria a few years ago in the States.

They have removable insoles and give me great support. I did buy a pair from a Company called Cheerful Soles based in Cornwall or Devon but the choice is limited. Plus a friend who lives in the USA sent me a pair. I would love another couple pairs of shoes plus sandals and boots. I would be willing to pay whatever it takes just to have comfortable footwear.

Mine too.

I had one eposide of plantar facitis and thankfully haven't had it since following her advice.

Brooks or Asics trainers.
Remonte & Reiker for boots and sandles.

Unfortunately, none of the above do nice heels but if I wear the above 80% of the time, I seem to be able to get away with heels the other 20%.

I used to get plantar faciitis really badly , never had it since i started wearing Sketchers. My podistrist recommended soft soles which sketchers have.

IHeartGeneHunt · 26/06/2023 06:49

Size 7 (I was size 6 until I had my daughter) and very wide feet with high insteps. Skechers for work. I like Hotter but they're not always wide enough, and B and M do very very comfy flip flops with cushiony soles and I love those in the summer for day to day.

Noicant · 26/06/2023 06:49

TOMS canvas loafers I have wide flat feet, they have to be well broken in so socks and shoes at home for a few days but after that very comfortable

Crabacus · 26/06/2023 07:27

I have large, wide, flat, painful feet with bunions thrown in. Size 8.
I wear men's timberland chukka boots all winter. Usually merrell walking sandals in summer but my feet are too wide for mine now so need to switch to men's ones and try those.
I developed plantar fasciitis last year and have since discovered vionics shoes and trainers work well for me.
i have so many pairs of shoes hardly worn because it takes a day of wearing them to find out if they work for me or not. Such a waste of money!

Catsmere · 26/06/2023 07:33

I have size 10 (European 41), wide, completely flat, pronated feet. I wear custom orthotics. The most comfortable shoes (boots, rather) I have now are ankle-height or mid-calf Diana Ferrari Supersoft, or Colorado. In summer I wear Merrell Barrado. I can't wear sandals at all.

evilharpy · 26/06/2023 07:33

I have very wide, totally flat feet, generally a size 7 ish.

The most comfortable shoes I have ever owned are my running shoes - Saucony Omni. They update them every so often but they've always worked for me.

The best pair of sandals I've had were these from Clarks, a good few years ago. I wore them on many holidays and walked for miles and miles in very hot weather and hardly felt like I was wearing them at all. They eventually walked themselves into the bin as I completely wore them out. Wish they still made them. I wouldn't wear them anywhere I wanted to be stylish but functionally they were the best sandals ever.

Also have these Skechers. Again not stylish and the memory foam insole makes them get sweaty (and I don't have sweaty feet at all usually) but they are very comfortable for walking or being on your feet a long time.

Skechers are like walking on air.

I never knew shoes could be that comfortable.

Ginmonkeyagain · 26/06/2023 07:51

Size 7, wide feet, high arches. I also had a, now healed, ruptured right achilles tendon.

In Spring/Summer I wear Birkenstocks, Superga pumps and Camper sandals.

In Winter All Birds trainers, Loake boots and Clark's flat lace ups.

I do have some low heeled Clark's court shoes and shoe boots for smarter work and occasion wear.

Heavenly Feet

Am a wide size 6 with high arch. Friends with various feet shapes all love them.

I swear by Heavenly Feet. I'm a narrowish size 6 with a relatively high instep and a high inner arch but flat outer half of foot (if that makes sense) and I don't think I've ever had an uncomfy pair of HFs.
