Did anyone know this was a thing?!

I popped into homesense and also grabbed a bag of bath salts which has CBD in it and when they asked me for ID, I said oh is it the Epsom salts? He said "no zoflora" but couldn't tell me why as he didn't know himself 🥴😂

I'm 30 and had my newborn in the pram with me!

Got id'd for paracetamol the other day, am 37.
It's just ridiculous in some places.

PickledMuffin · 22/06/2023 23:06

could it be because it is flammable?

Wishitsnows · 22/06/2023 23:08

There is often no common sense, just ridiculous

GottaGirlcrush · 22/06/2023 23:14

It's nasty stuff in the wrong hands

TheCrocodileBird · 22/06/2023 23:20

Usually only ID if bought in large quantities.

Tilllly · 22/06/2023 23:32

That's hilarious 😂

Take it as a compliment!

elm26 · 22/06/2023 23:38

Just a normal 250ml bottle! I was amused 😂

I'm 38 and was asked for ID for a disposable BBQ the other day!!

XenoBitch · 23/06/2023 02:20

I wasn't asked for ID, but I bought a pack of teaspoons and the self service check out flagged an age 16+ thing.
Another time, I bought a ruler, and the checkout insisted it was bagged.

😂😂 these stories make me giggle.

We moved house when I was 22 weeks pregnant and went to B&M to get some new cutlery, they wouldn't sell us butter knives as I didn't have my purse with me so no drivers license ID 🤣

I was once IDd buying plastic picnic cutlery because there were knives in it. I had popped into Tesco and bumped into my 15 year old niece, who was annoyed because they wouldn't sell her the cutlery for her and her friends to eat the Ben And Jerrys they had bought. I confidently took the cutlery to the till, not even thinking and was asked for ID, which I didn't have on me. They refused to sell them to me. I don't know what damage I could reasonably be expected to carry out with flimsy plastic knives.
