Job interview invitation

Hi,

I applied for a job 41 days ago. I received confirmation of my application but heard nothing more until today when I received an email inviting me for interview in a couple of weeks.
Problem is the email was sent at 14:36 today and stated that if I had not confirmed by 16:00 today they would be obliged to remove me from the interview list.

Aibu to think that it is crazy to give leas than 90 minutes to applicants to reply?
This is not a small company and the work is not office based so there wouldn't be a presumption that I would have email access during the day.

Or is this the norm these days?

That's bonkers. I'm guessing someone has made a mistake in the dates. I would call them up and check.

I would say 41 days is an awful long time to wait unless they didn't find the right person in the first round of interviews and also expecting you to reply to an email within 90 minutes is ridiculous!

I don't get to see my emails until I get home from work so probably about 8 hrs.
