Aibu to think if I wore those heels day in day out on all those walk about visits she does, my feet would be hanging off!

She must have an Amazon subscription to Scholl Party feet inserts.

Hope she travels with a foot spa.

Have you ever seen a Royal female on duty not in heels?

Princess Diana often wore flat or very low heels, as in the attached picture. She never wore skyscrapers.

The Queen wears low block heels. Beatrice wore low block heels for Ascot this week. Princess Anne normally wears low block heels.

QE2 wore "comfy" low heeled shoes.

Catherine herself was wearing flats yesterday on official duties.

These pictures show Queen Elizabeth at 41, the same age as Catherine.

All much more comfortable shoes.

Clearly as so many senior Royal women wear low heels she doesn't have to wear five inch stilettos

Yes, good point. Whilst I would love to go around in the beautiful outfits and hair she sports each day, I would be trying to sneak on my trainers. Even some clarks flat boots - they're quite smart. Even a kitten heel!

I always think - high heels were invented by men!

Just checking I'm the first pedant to point this out:

Diana often wore low heels because she was tall and would be taller than Charles in them. There was an engagement photo of them used on stamps and it was widely reported he stood on a box to appear taller than her.

She was apparently also self conscious about being so tall. She wanted to be a dancer but was told she was too tall.

She walks about for an hour or so at most, very slowly, and is driven everywhere by a chauffeur. I think she'll survive.

I think the women who have lots of issues with wearing high heels are fat so I think Kate is probably ok.

LadyKenya · 23/06/2023 12:22

At least she does not have to worry about waiting around for public transport after a full day of strenuous engagements, with her feet killing her.🤔

According to my gossip magazine reading 🙈, both Catherine and Megan wear 1/2 a size too big and this makes the heels more comfortable. With my wide feet, heels are torture, unless I spend £££ on wider but still beautiful ones.

When I wear half a size too big, they fall off.

Whilst I admire her dedication to a heel, style of them aside she doesn't always wear them so there must be some element of choice/when it is appropriate

That outfit with the dress and wedges is really nice. I'd like to get similar. Just need to shift four stone 😬
