With compensation added to it for the stress.

There are people who are STILL going through the courts and being fined for breaching Covid rules.

wasnt this two and a half years ago and they’ve already been fined/punished ? 🤷🏻‍♂️

JenniferBooth · 19/06/2023 17:42

@whatdoidonowffs I think they claimed it wasnt pre planned. The Jingle and Mingle invitation says otherwise.

It horrifies me that those in government were brazenly flouting Covid restrictions with gleeful abandon, whilst so many people were suffering immeasurable misery and sorrow. Not only are these buffoons not being charged, quite a few of them have been given honours in BoJo's leaving honours list! Of course they should be fined, sacked and the only thing they should be given is their P45!

Don't retort with misogynist insults. Fucks sake.

Don't confuse CCHQ with government. They're not the same.

Though they were all tories...

Misogyny there.

SherbetDips · 19/06/2023 17:59

@Topseyt123 but it’s ok for them to call me a fucking idiot. I couldn’t care less what people vote but that’s a disgusting response.

And "Karen" is an equally offensive response. Two wrongs do not make a right.

I'm so glad you can shrug because I've had 2 years to get over not seeing dying DH for 3 months why the people who made those rules were partying.

Maybe I haven't done it right because I've spent so much time and energy trying to support barely functioning traumatised DC.

And not they haven't been punished. Many not at all, those who had fines were entirely insignificant in realtion to the crime (breaking rules they were imposing on the rest of us) and some have been given bloody honours since.

Fuck off with your shrugging.

The two dancing were given honours in Johnson's resignation honours list.

What !!!!
You're kidding surely ?

Does anyone remember the 2 women who were fined for going for a walk outdoors ? I remember it being news on the DM app.

I think they should all be named, shamed, fined the maximum amount and all honours doled out in Boris's resignation list rescinded.

My Dad became very ill and died during the second lockdown. It wasn't even Covid related and even though we were all clear of it we couldn't be with him in hospital. He died alone, confused and probably very scared.

Meanwhile, the government which set the rules in the first place was regularly partying!! Even on the eve of Prince Philip's funeral.

Personally, I now hope that most of the fines issued during the lockdowns are rescinded or paid back to the person concerned. Except for these arsewipes, of course.

Fines for sitting on park benches were always ridiculous.

I am sorry for your loss. I lost my beloved Dad 8 weeks ago now and the end was sudden and we were not with him. The pain and anguish it has caused us is beyond words but we were able to take him into hospital and sit with him on the ward. My DM and I have chatted about how unimaginable the pain must be for families like yours who were denied those precious moments with their loved ones, I would be so so angry. It is a national disgrace, I hope you and your family are doing 'ok' now Flowers

KnitMePurlMe · 19/06/2023 19:33

As one of those who lost my dad during 2020 having not seen him for 6 months while these cunts partied, I’m fucking horrified that people would still want to vote for them. How much more repugnant do the Tories have to get before voters stop being their own needs first and start thinking about others.

I weep for the future of this country - the “I couldn’t give a fuck about anyone else so I’ll just keep voting Tory” attitude is mind blowing.

Shinyandnew1 · 19/06/2023 19:38

Absolutely. Either the fines are important or they’re not. If they’re not, then every person who was fined for…sitting on a bench, 18 year olds having a party, people walking their dogs together etc etc, should get their money paid back. Every last pound.

It’s disgusting-I hope every single Tory is embarrassed of their piss-taking government.

IAmAnIdiot123 · 19/06/2023 19:41

SunLover1985 · 19/06/2023 15:58

Don’t worry, at some point before January 2025 people will have the opportunity to go to the ballot box again to vote Tory on the basis that “they’re the least worst option” or “Kier Starmer is a bit dull” or the Labour government two decades ago did something they didn’t like.

Nahh I just can't see it happening. Labour will get in at the next election, I'll be putting money on it.

Obviously there will be the staunch tory voters but the overall majority will be Labour win.

I am so sorry that must have been utterly brutal for you, your family and your Dad. I would feel very very angry like you and also despair that people would even consider voting these moronic fools back in.

Zebedee55 · 19/06/2023 20:06

My dad had to die alone in a nursing home while this lot partied.😡

SleeplessinScarbourough · 19/06/2023 20:08

They should all be in prison and stripped of all their assets and struck off professionally.
I just keep remembering those who lost their lives due to fear of being penalised by lockdown rules.

I dont think the tories give a fuck if they get in at the next election. They are taking all they can from the trough now so they won't need to be in power. It sickens me how much they and their cronies have made on the back of this.

Nurse1980 · 19/06/2023 20:27

My parents were both admitted to hospital in September 2020, and both died in January 2021.

We couldn’t visit them, comfort them. My mum heard that she has stage 4 cancer in hospital without her family with her got support.

My dad was on ICU crying as he couldn’t understand where his family was.

It was horrendous and then we had to plan a joint COVID funeral.

Meanwhile they were just partying away. They are a disgrace.

ODFODeary · 19/06/2023 20:43

I'm so sorry @Nurse1980 and to all of you that lost loved ones 💐
They should hang their heads in shame
