To need a quiet weekend?

DH likes to constantly line up activities for the kids. He likes to be doing something or going somewhere. He WFH FT so spends time with the kids in the week. He also has hobbies, the gym and sees friends.

We've just had relatives to stay all weekend. Lovely but tiring. DH then announced he's lined up things for this weekend coming too. Visiting friends an hour away, testing the tent for the summer (faff to put up) and sports on Sunday.

I’d like to potter if the kids need a quiet one. I guess it’s about compromise so I've said let's go to his friend's place but maybe for a shorter time? He agreed but was huffing about it!

AIBU? I've said we need to re-charge. Toys and walk? Follow their lead? DS1 is tired and needs downtime. DS2 has endless energy but we’ve got a garden.
