What would you do with ten weeks off?

I have ten weeks off work/studying etc. I have quite a bit to do around the house, getting stuff to dump etc. I have a 10 year old that goes to her dads once during the week and every second weekend. I have two dogs and a cat.

I've been known to fall into a bit of a depression with too much time on my hands. And day one of my 10 week break I am laying in bed dosing on and off. Trying to be kind to myself and allowing this once in a while.

Have a massage booked for Wednesday, going out a walk with friend this week, got reading I want to do, more exercise, catch up with appointments and gut the house.

What would you do with this time off? Any suggestions how to keep a bit of a routine?

Live by the sea preferably in Italy or somewhere like that. But that is just a dream for me and unrealistic for you with DD, dog and cat!

Make a plan of what you want to get done. Write it down and make it fairly specific so that you have lots of things to tick off. So instead of 'clear spare room' In spare room I need to - sort old photos, empty the large press, organise the shevles.
Read new books - write down the ones you want
Meet friends for walk - which friends? Contact them and put it in the calender so it doesn't get to the end of the 10 weeks and you still haven't arranged it

Factor in a good few days out with DD as well. Fun places, historical places, beautiful places, places that are hard to get, places to be lazy

Extensive language course
Learn a new skill (crochet/sewing/baking/mosaic etc)
Travel (a few days at a time - obviously ££) - possibly camping so you can bring the dog?

Give yourself one job every day! I'm currently having a few weeks holiday and my list includes...

Go to dump and de-moss patio
Paint a feature wall
Clear out the 'everyone dumps stuff in here' cupboard and organise it with proper storage
Hire a steam cleaner and do my carpets and upholstery
Read something fluffy and vacuous
Cook
Watch crap TV
Read something educational that I'm interested in

And anything else I fancy! But I find having one job a day keeps me focused and sane.

I like to get to Aqua Aerobics and swimming at least 4 days during the week. Managed to take part in a remote meeting for a support group which always clashed with work, cooked a nice meal from scratch a first for me in some time.

I feel guilty for having 5 weeks out, feel like there’s so much more I should be doing but just not in the mood.
