Tips for waking up refreshed in the summer?

This weather is lovely but I find I never have a great night sleep on warm nights and I don’t really wake up feeling refreshed at all! Any tips of how to sleep better?! We’ve got a light duvet on and windows open but it still seems pretty sticky and warm.

We have a ceiling fan, not the prettiest thing but pretty much silent and cooling. We also have pillows that have a cool gel in them plus a cool gel mattress topper. That all goes a long way to a much cooler night. The ceiling fan is hands down the best thing we put into all the bedrooms. We have 2 blinds (horizontal Venetian and a blackout roller in front of it) and blackout curtains so the room is very dark meaning it is easier to sleep when it is still potentially light outside. On very warm nights we use a spray bottle of water to spritz our bodies and let the ceiling fan cool us.

Portable air conditioner and a ceiling fan. One hot days I set the air con to cool the room down about an hour before bed and then set the timer for it to go off 1 - 2 hours after I go to sleep and the ceiling fan runs all night. Also switch to all cotton or bamboo bedding/pyjamas if you're not using them already.
