To find error messages and technical errors/computer viruses creepy? Lighthearted

As long as I can remember I’ve always had an irrational fear of technology going wrong in some way or breaking

Static screens, interruptions to broadcasts, error messages on TVs, blue screens. This has been for as long as I can remember. As a child I was scared of the red light on the television monitor, and also night screens on children’s channels (the CBeebies ones in the early 2000s in particular, which said Night Night - something about that pink screen was eerie!) I have seen on Tiktok that the latter is a common fear for others too. I just wonder what the root of it is and what caused me to find it creepy. Does anyone else find these things a bit off putting?

Yes i do! Weirdly I think I’ve only just realised how much I find it creepy as I read your post. Lightbulb moment! YANBU.

I think it's just the 'something's wrong' vibe of it ....I actually totally get what you mean and I feel like it too especially the white noise interruption sound/screen. Urgh
