To want to know when this cough will stop

Has anyone else has this virus - relentless cough, sore throat, body ache, fever etc. seems to be going round the south west. I want to know how long until I can sleep again , the cough is so bad it’s nearly making me sick

The cough lasts weeks. The other symptoms only lasted a couple of days for me.
