I am not an animal lover so I don't own pets. I have nothing against animals, I just don't want to live with one. I was at my hairdressers recently and someone came in for their appointment with their dog. She asked the salon owner if it was ok and she said yes, as long as the dog owner cleans up if it poos or wees. I don't treat myself often and my root touch up is the only thing that I won't cut back on yet (money is tight but it's my one treat every 8-10 weeks). It bugged me that the dog was sitting on the floor between me and their owner and at any point could have peed or pooed. That's not something I want to witness or smell. The owner never asked any of the clients if they minded. I went in this week to make my next appointment and there was another dog next to their owner getting their hair done. I asked the lady booking in my appointment if it was a dog friendly salon and she said we don't mind dogs coming in. It's put me off going. If I'm getting pampered, I don't want poo or wee next to me or a dog barking because they don't like the sound of the hairdryer. I've wondered, is it dogs allowed or all pets at hairdressers? AIBU to find a new salon? Will I struggle to find a salon with a no pets allowed policy?
