so my DP and me were sat in bed and he said actually I need to check your ring size for when I propose and said he’d gone out to get a ring sizer, wrote the sizes down and OBVIOUSLY I was happy and sort of expecting it to happen soon,
Turns out he only said that to get my size for my mum, for a Pandora ring. Now obviously it’s a cute present from my mum and I love it but we both agree that was the wrong way to go about it, she wanted to just take me to the shop but he was like nooo. I feel sad and abit like what was the point of that?

by we both agree I mean me and mum.

Not what you asked, but if you want to marry him please remember it’s a decision you both get to make, not something he should bestow on you because he’s the boss of your relationship. Don’t waste years of your life hanging around like a Victorian damsel. You wouldn’t let him pick the house you lived in without you or any other big life decision which impacts on both of you.

So he had a ring sizer with him? Sounds very much like this was a way of finding out your ring size (for an engagement t ring) and he and your mum have come up with the Pandora ring thing as an excuse. Otherwise your mum would have just taken you to the shop surely? Why would he even be involved?

Did your mum ask him to find out your ring size?

If so, then he was just doing your mum a favour.
