Hi guys I am on the homeless category. I have currently been bidding as this for nearly a year. I have bidded for two, 2 bedroom flats high rise 16th floor and am coming up as 4th for both of them. Has anyone got offered a property as position 4.
looking for a bit of hope or advice as me and my child need to move as soon as possible and can not afford to privately rent.

Crikey, Savanna, that's horrible! I'm sorry he did that to you, what a twunt.

Do you think you could phone when they update the list, maybe say you don't always get your post and you'd hate to miss a viewing invitation? I don't even know if they give a phone number but, with some things, taking the initiative can help.

If your 4th stop bidding for flats bid on a house

no, but i did get 4th, then i got 1st on the next property i bid on. The next property had far fewer bids though, but im not sure why, i love my council house and its in an amazing location.

Good luck

Hi first time ever posting,

im north east if that is relevant.

im band 2 on council housing, we have been in the same private rented 2 bed flat for 10 years now and the landlord is putting the rent up and we just need more space for the kids. We have two children both are autistic we have been bidding on houses for a while now always coming top 5 but no luck.

this week there is 2 new builds available (one has 4 properties available so 5 in total) I have bid on both of these. I am currently 8th in the queue for both.

I really love this house not just because it’s a new build but because of the location, same estate as my best friend, im due to start university this month and its closer, it’s closer to my kids schools etc.

we are band 2 due to the medical needs of my children and we are only allowed to bid on three bed properties all of these are three bed.

I guess my question is is it worth me getting my hopes up or do we have no chance being 8th. Remembering there is multiple properties available.

I have mental health issues and the stress of this process really gets to me so I don’t want to spend the next few days thinking I have a chance when in reality I have no chance (bidding closes midnight Monday)

thanks for any insight:)

If this is any hope. I received my flat and I was 5th place. The people before you would need to turn it down, not respond or not meet the requirements
