I used to love her. She was especially good in Women in Love

Utterly brilliant with Morecambe and Wise ! I love an intellectual who can take the mickey out of themselves.

Such a loss, and such a massive talent.

I met her once at a Labour party event, she was really down to earth and lovely.

SammyScrounge · 15/06/2023 20:16

She had such a wonderful voice. I loved her in Elizabeth R delivering the Queen's own speeches. She was magnificent. She's on bbc4 tonight in 'Elizabeth Is Missing'.

Some lovely tributes to her today. Jeremy Corbyn told a story about attending a meeting at the Whittington Hospital for local MPs and the Trust management. Glenda was late and when she made her entrance she took the CEO to task for the abysmal signage round the hospital, which was her excuse for not arriving on time, but as she sat down she gave JC a huge theatrical wink. Grin

Our local news presenter said when he was a child he saw her in the supermarket every Friday and she was unfailingly nice to everybody. Good litmus test.

I'm very much hoping Sunday Bloody Sunday gets repeated, as that's a brilliant film.

Amazing actress. Truly principled politician. Not 3 words you often see together.

Moonshine5 · 15/06/2023 20:54

Bump because Glenda deserves it!
