I live in a tenement flat and my upstairs neighbour leaked into mine. I told her, she apologised and came back later to say she had a plumber coming the next day, I didn't make a fuss, although she has leaked into my kitchen twice before in the last 2 years and this time it meant disinfecting worktops and cooker top from dirty washing machine water that had dripped down and a ceiling that now has a big stain on it.
So......a different neighbour who is friendly with her (he) today let it slip that she hasn't had a plumber to look at it ( a week later) and that when her sink backed up a couple of months ago he dismantled her pipework looking for the blockage. He is 30's unemployed, definitely not a qualified plumber.
I have asked for insurance details for leaky neighbour's landlord.
a. AIBU unreasonable to be angry that she is allowing unqualified people do work above my kitchen (the same kitchen that she had leaked into twice before this) and lied that a plumber was coming the next day
but also..... do I tell my insurance company or her landlord about the amateur work in the kitchen, even though its hearsay
