Dumping dog poo behind our shed

There's been a horrible smell of 💩in our garden for days. I've just realised why. I've just watched our neighbour shovel up 3 bits of shit ( he has two dogs) and dump it on the garden boarder behind our shed. Aibu to ask him to stop doing it in this heat, it really is disgusting?

Shovel it back into his garden

Doggydarling · 14/06/2023 12:55

Get a shovel and lop it straight back into his garden. Dirty fucker, how dare he?? I've found if you're careful you can aim dog shit when flinging it from a shovel so try land it on his doorstep.

Acheyknees · 14/06/2023 12:56

If you can tolerate it, shovel it up and put it back on his land

obie1 · 14/06/2023 12:57

Shovel it through his letter box. Standard revenge!

This. Let him know you've returned it. Tell him not to do it again. Consider cctv.

Disgusting. In any weather.

BMW6 · 14/06/2023 12:57

Throw it back, the dirty bastard

TheFlis12345 · 14/06/2023 12:58

I would be scoping it up and putting it on his doorstep, that’s absolutely vile behaviour (and I say that as a dog owner).

Answer is obvious. Scoop it up and put it on his doorstep.

What a vile pig.

CrotchetyQuaver · 14/06/2023 13:00

Don't say anything, just fling it back hard into his garden so it lands anywhere. Absolutely do not pop it neatly back over! If you can put something up to stop him tipping it behind your shed, so much the better

dingit · 14/06/2023 13:00

I don't think I'll be able to get to it. ( fence then shed, no gaps)
Shall I speak to him. They aren't horrible, but I have complained about late night barking before Confused

When you say on the garden border, is it his land or yours? Absolutely disgusting of him either way, but if his, it could be difficult to persuade him to stop.

BashfulClam · 14/06/2023 13:02

So it’s in his garden? Its next to the border of your two gardens? Not sure you can do anything if it’s within his garden

dingit · 14/06/2023 13:09

Its debatable whose garden. There's a small gap where the fences don't meet up. ( hard to describe) probably not worth arguing over, I just want to ask him to put it elsewhere.

What do you think is unreasonable about telling your neighbour to stop throwing dog shit in your garden. Hmm

ColdHandsHotHead · 14/06/2023 13:14

I'd be giving the council's environmental health team a call. This must be breaking the law somehow.

ToBeOrNotToBee · 14/06/2023 13:16

What on earth!

The shit attracts flies which will the come into your home.

I'd be going ape.

KateyCuckoo · 14/06/2023 13:20

Difficult to describe means diagram!

DontYouThreatenMeWithADeadFish · 14/06/2023 13:21

I used to have a dirty fucker consistently dump their bags of dogshit in the recycling boxes that were kept in my front garden. This went on for years until I started to work from home at which point I finally caught sight of the culprit from my home office window. I nipped out the house, picked up said bag of shit and followed the woman and her canine shit machine home. Turned out she only lived on the next street over from mine so I just stuffed the bag through her letterbox and walked off. Strangely she stopped dumping dog turds in my front garden after that.

Ihateboris · 14/06/2023 13:22

I recently had the exact same problem. I tossed it back into his garden and I never had the problem again!

I disagree. Definitely go around and call them out about it. It will embarrass them into stop doing it. Tell them you will be bagging up and leaving it on his doorstep if he does it again

dingit · 14/06/2023 13:40

As I said I won't be able to get to it, but strongly tempted to empty the cat litter tray into their garden 😂
