Anyone who can help not sure what's wrong with DS privates!

I've only just posted a couple of days ago about DD having a skin issue and just as that's healing DS now has an issue! If it's not one it's the other!
DS (4) came home from nursery yesterday saying his willy hurt, when I looked it was a bit red and swollen. Put him to bed without anything on last night as thought it might just be where his underwear had been rubbing in the hot weather.

This morning he's woken up and the top bit is almost twice the size and really red. He says it really hurts to touch. He said it doesn't hurt when he does a wee though.

Any idea what this could be? Would sudacrem be the best thing for now? I'm going to phone the Gp at 8 to see if we can get an appointment but just wondering how I can help before then

You could try a bath but best just to get to see a GP today.

Oh poor lad! DS had this. We ended up at the walk in centre and they prescribed some steroid cream

@shellcool I've just googled that and it says it would swell near the tip, this is more the top of the penis that has doubled in size and the tip still looks normal.

Balinitis which ended up with antibiotics and steroid creams. This happened a few times until being referred to circumcision. I'm trying to remember but it looked like the tip was like a cap over a inflated long balloon.

When was the last time he weed? If it's causing him to be unable to wee then it's A&E.

Whilst you're waiting for GP to open, he needs to drink lots of water. Any foul smell or discharge?

A warm bath with salt added this morning?
