NDN smoking weed

NDN is a man in his late thirties who moved back in with his parents a few years ago. Parents have lived here for 30 years. We get on fine with them when we see them. We just say hi and have a small bit of chit chat and then get on our way. Since we moved in (2 and half years ago) the son has been smoking weed, and it did annoy me a bit then, but I just got on with it. However, it is really bugging me now. WIBU to report him? Truthfully, I’m worried that if I report him, although it would be anonymous, I think it would be pretty obvious it was me, and I don’t want to be worried about them being petty or nasty towards me back, even though I’m not the one smoking an illegal drug in the middle of the day in the garden.

There is a man and his teenage son (son school age seen him school uniform) who moved 2 doors down me (I live above a shop) there is always men coming in and out of the house and they also have a dog which isn't allowed in the tenancy agreement as we all have the same landlord, whenever I see them they would be polite and say Hi, however I am facing the same problem with them consistently smoking weed even early hours in the morning having the windows wide open,smell soo strong it lingers in my house🫣

Cigarettes are worse imo only difference is in the UK weed is illegal

Yep and as such using it funds some pretty appalling things.

After living next door to coke heads the stoners are a dream neighbour. Only drama we get now is if the pizza delivery driver gets the wrong house

I hate the smell of weed when my neighbour smokes it. It lingers for ages. We’ve got an air purifier for the living room - but that doesn’t really help with the garden.

I am not sure what you can do but maybe try ‘I just wondered if your son would mind smoking a bit further down the garden as the smell does waft over a bit’

and yes I think we can easily guess the pot-heads on here 😂 they always descend on any thread criticising weed smoking….

Op...do you have DC? I'd be worried about them and their clothes (if you dry outside) smelling of weed and a teacher at school noticing.

It's the smell and the fact that OP doesn't smoke and doesn't want to inhale any second hand smoke in her own house

My daughter's neighbour smokes weed in the tiny garden right next to where my grandson plays. It's not good for kids. It affects mental health and development. Probably not much gets into his bloodstream, but it makes our hair smell for ages after.

He might be legally prescribed cannabis - my dd is. In which case it's not illegal

I think you weren't literal enough.

@EasyPeelersAreNotSatsumas - it's meant to be inhaled with a vaporiser or given as drops, but I imagine that some people will choose to smoke theirs
