I think I have this just from looking at google (i know!)

So I have read the best treatments are physio, massage, pilates and osteopathy.

Has anyone tackled this and how did you do it?

I have a lady near me who does sports/remedial message and private 1 to one pilates sessions. Would this be a good start? Might throw in a few osteopathy sessions as well.

OR

would you go for physio?

I don't have a ton of money to throw at it so want to make the right call.

Any advice would be great

I've never heard of this before, but having googled, personally I would start with osteopathy. It's good for releasing stuck soft tissues so your joints can move freely again. I have SI joint dysfunction in my lower back and it's the only thing that helps. Exercises and stretches (from physio) are good to do regularly, but if you don't have normal range of motion, they can only do so much. I see an osteopath a few times a year and it's money well spent otherwise I would barely be able to walk.
