To be really pissed off

That I made sure i had an up to date whatsapp backup to Google drive this morning and now I can't restore it because there's a password needed and I can't remember it and apparently can't reset it... and only had a few tries before it told me I couldn't try again for an hour, then one more go and have to wait another 3 hours...

Bingo. It was a factory reset...

I saw that help page and when you are doing the restore there's no settings option... I was thinking it wasn't up to date imfo, but realised after that it looks like im totally screwed. I've only ever changed phones before so wasn't aware of this...

Ah apologies - there’s no way to get it without the password in that case. It’s a minimum of 6 characters, and must have 1 letter, which really doesn’t help in working it out 😭
