To try to restore rattan garden furniture

Just wondering if anything has done this. DH says it needs chucking out but I think I can probably improve it. Any tips gratefully received !

Paint it! Or leave an old armchair in a far corner of your garden as a distant focal point and let the roses and Jasmin climb over it and the rain and sun slowly tarnish it till it becomes beautiful again.

Good ideas but it's synthetic rattan so not sure it'll work. Am looking at replacing strands but feel a bit nervous !

@Hippolyte did u try this in the end? I have a nice set that I'd like to keep so I think I'll give it a go.
