Hit me with recommendations of parasols or shelters etc that are easy to carry and put up but can withstand a breeze!

Sorry, no need to vote! Didn't mean to put a vote on it 😲

We just use a beach tent thing that cost £10 from a shop next to the beach at Filey. Takes 5 minutes to put up and take down (though stuffing it back in its bag is a bit of a pain). It doesn't blow away because it has tent pegs and we're usually sitting in it. It is also good for when the dc want to get changed because they can zip themselves inside.

I think that's the way to go, thank you.

Seconding the beach tent recommendation. Get a windbreak too if necessary (you’ll need a mallet as well though! Or a big rock to pound the posts in.)

Fab, thanks both.
