Can we turn the Mumsnet ads off??

I am so fed up of seeing the same adds appearing on the AIBU page over and over. If I see the "when should babies start swimming" ad one more time I am literally going to lob my phone across the room.

These ads were annoying when they first appeared a few months ago, but now they r driving me crackers!

Is there anyway to hide them? And why the hec are the laid out like posts as part of the AIBU page??

Ad blocker. I know we want to help MNHQ pay the rent but the ads make the forum unreadable.

You need an ad blocker. I don't see a thing. Even those paying for MN premium still see some ads.

So does and blocker take out the Mumsnet ads? The ones where the thread is an ad, then instead if the vote tab enabled, it says 'visit'? Those are the ones driving me crazy!! I didn't realise as blocker would work!!! Thank you I will try it!

I don't see any Ads at all. Occasionally I have a blank post in a thread that I assume would be an Ad, but I just scroll past and it's not a problem.

@Whinge she means these threads that are actually ads. They say promoted by Mumsnet and have ‘ad’ to the right

Thanks for explaining. I don't see any of those on my active threads page, so I assume my ad blocker blocks them. So yes OP, it must be possible to hide them using an ad blocker.
